Hello,
Thank you for stopping by our web site! We are located in North Central Wisconsin. Please take a few minutes to view the site and let us know what you think, drop us a line at Blue Hills. Below is a brief introduction to the club explaining our goals and purpose in general.
Thank you!
CLUB INTRODUCTIONThe Blue Hill's Morgan Club of Wisconsin was founded in 1993 by JoAnn Marie Anderson and Kathy Lynn Brown, and is a non-profit organization. Our aim is the recognition of the Morgan horse as ideal for family, Western Pleasure, Huntseat, English Pleasure, Saddleseat, Working Stock, Reining, Cutting, Dressage, Carriage Driving, and Road Hack. We also seek to develop and promote good fellowship among horse lovers. The Blue Hill's Morgan Club of Wisconsin is a breed organization, a pleasure organization, an organization for enthusiasts, and an organization for you. As we grow, we will develop committees to attend to the dedication of specialized work, but as a club we do not focus on any one aspect of promotion. Rather, we attempt to keep a well-rounded view of the Morgan horse and are willing to promote individuals in whatever capacity is right for them. We have a group of youth members who are involved in the local 4-H program. Many of our activities are aimed at educating them about horses, everything from basic safety and handling, to showing, to general care including nutrition, vaccinations, worming, grooming, farrier work and housing. This approach lets us inform them so that they may have a long, healthy and safe lifetime with their mounts. We've found that many of the people who attend our clinics are new to horses and wish to learn the same type of information.
WE OFFERDue to the dedication and hard work of our core members we are able to provide a wide range of activities. As our numbers grow and we gain more helping hands we hope to continue to provide new and exciting activities to participate in!

THE MORGAN
HORSE![]() The Morgan horse is the oldest recognized American breed, and has existed for over 200 years. Justin Morgan, the legendary progenitor of the Morgan horse breed, was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1789. This was the same year George Washington became the nation's first president. Since these early days, the Morgan has been known for its versatility, kind disposition, style and grace. The Morgan has contributed to the foundation of several other American breeds and proved so durable that the United States Government developed an interest in the breed for the Cavalry. More recently, the Morgan was awarded a very special honor when the U.S. Bicentennial Commission designated the breed as the "Bicentennial Horse". In 1981, Morgan horses strutted down Pennsylvania Avenue as part of Ronald Reagan's Inaugural Parade, at his special invitation. Today, Morgan horses are making history around the world for future generations, and you can be part of this proud legacy. The Morgan is a horse with a heritage, striding boldly into the future.
