Guidelines

***PLEASE NOTE *** Due to the amount of SPAM emails coming through on some lists, any member who posts such emails shall immediately put on moderation. Any member who uploads a file with SPAM type material shall immediately be put on moderation. With this moderation, said member will no longer be allowed to upload files, etc. Said member will also be reported to YahooGroups. (3/1/04)

This list has the possibility of getting volatile if precautions are not in place. The membership is made up greatly of breeders. Each having their own opinion of what is best. We need to remember that we are all individuals who are looking to do what is best for the Lippitt and the Morgan as a general rule. We will not see eye to eye on this. That is to be expected and forgiven. Please refrain from discussions about those that are not members. They have no way to defend themselves or answer questions.

	The administrator does NOT monitor the posts before they go out to the group. Please think through your messages carefully. Once its sent, there is nothing that can be done.
	Individual attacks to people or programs are highly discouraged.
	Attacks on other bloodlines are highly discouraged.
	Personal opinions are welcomed if stated in a nice manner without insulting others of the list. (Please refer to above. Things may occasionally happen. We are human.)
	Individuals who feel they have been wronged should take the issue up privately.
	Requests for removal of an individual from the list for an attack should be sent directly to the administrator of the list and the individual the request is about.
	Requests will be looked into privately, a warning may or may not be issued if it is felt its warranted.
	One warning per issue will be issued. If an issue is continually brought to the list after a warning then this may warrant a censoring of that individuals posts or removal from the list.
	Each individual will have up to three warnings before removal from the list.
	Issues discussed on this list shouldn't be continued on other public lists unless permission is granted by those involved.
	Historical and recent photos of Lippitts are more than welcomed. If you can please state who the horse is, sire, dam and give credit to the photographer if at all possible. Check for permission before posting private pictures. Pictures that are scanned from newsletters and magazines should have a reference to the source document.
	Quotes taken from documents or individuals should state the source, date, and any other pertinent information.

Given the continuing troubles on the list, all matters concerning the internal business of The Lippitt Club, The Lippitt Morgan Breeders Association or The American Morgan Horse Association is NOT allowed on this list. What does this really mean? Well, NO politics, NO election debates, NO internal club business. General announcements of events within the said organizations shall be allowed; such as gatherings, shows, newsletter news, deadlines, etc.

Individuals not following this will immediately be put on a moderated status. Meaning that any posts made by said individual must be approved by the moderators before they will find their way onto the list. Should the individual change accounts and sign up under a different address, their accounts will be immediately banned and they will not be allowed back on the list at any time.

I would like to see our members be able to put out general announcements of upcoming activities, etc. Such as the deadlines for advertising, etc. Only the member's actions on the list will show if this is possible or not.
