Life's Lessons

Tiny frost flakes floating down, on a sunny Winter's day.
Light glinting off of them, they look like gems in the air.
They come to rest upon a carpet of snow.
Glimmering as the sunlight bounces off them.
They seem to wink at you as they shimmer.
You can not help but to stop and smile.
The frigid air urges you to hurry.
Always in such a rush we humans are.
How much beauty do we miss, when we don't take the time to look?
Stop and open your eyes once a day.
You may find what you see is worth the time.
When you stop to look and enjoy, you can not help but to relax.
Once you relax for but a moment, things do not seem quite so bad.
As you see the simple wonders in life, the stress seems to melt.
Life is fleeting, take some time before your out of time.
When your old and gray, you will look back on your life.
What you will remember and see then is up to you now.
Oh how beautiful life can be.
Look around and set yourself free.
Let the sunshine warm your heart.
Allow the pain to melt away.
When blue skies turn to gray, look inside to find the sun.
Then look upon the coming new day, leaving your woes behind.
Only you can release your fears.
Forgive those around you.
But most of all, forgive yourself.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You decide if you greet it with a smile or a frown.
Try to see the joy of life not just the pain.
