| There are currently seven mares here
at Windrise. Since we bought our first mares in 1990. Our small
herd has grown. With the lease of our foundation stallion in 1992, we
officially embarked on our Morgan breeding venture. To date (2005),
Windrise has produced 18 foals. Eight of those being full Lippitts/Foundation
Morgans.
There will be no foals at Windrise in 2006, we will be devoting our
time to training and promoting. We intend to continue
producing beautiful Morgan foals from the wonderful mares below. You can
scroll down for an introduction, or use the buttons below to go directly to
their individual pages.
Windrise would not be where it is today without the wonderful help and
support of Julie & Jeff Heise,
Rosewater Morgans.
We could not ask for better friends or partners!! We owe them a debt
of gratitude. THANK YOU JULIE & JEFF! |

Shadlow's Quintana
Minimal Sabino Bay, Connected Star, Wide
Strip, Wide Snip Extending Over Both Nostrils, Both Hind Fetlocks.
6/1/1979
Our senior foundation mare. Out of the three mares
we started our herd with, she is the only one we still have. "Tana"
has graced us with six wonderful foals over the years. Tana has a
forever home with us. We are retaining her 2003 daughter as her
replacement within the breeding herd. She blessed us with a black
filly, Windrise Lady Vivien on May 4, 2005. We almost lost her
afterwards due to complications. We hope to try embryo transfer on her
in 2006. There are not many mares who look as GREAT as she does at her age, much less
still producing foals. We feel EXTREMELY lucky to have her with us!

TOV Paulina Darling
Chestnut, Star, Snip, Both Hind Pasterns.
4/18/1995
Full Lippitt/Foundation
"Paulina" joined our herd from
Julie & Jeff Heise, Rosewater Morgans. This California girl,
bred by Carol & Barry Dzindzio,
Twin Oaks Valley Morgans, sure has adapted to
Wisconsin wonderfully. She is, in our opinion, extremely beautiful.
While she is smaller at only 13.3HH, she is very typey with elegant
movement. Very smooth under saddle & incredibly intelligent.
This loving mare is one in a million. She has produced five full
Lippitt foals so far, all fillies. On May 18, 2005 she graced us with
a stunning bay filly by
Quietude Westward.

Windrise Alexis
Darling
Chestnut, Small Star
6/12/1999
Full Lippitt/Foundation
"Alexis" is the Pride and Joy of our Lippitt
breeding program. A carefully planned breeding resulting in a filly
that fulfilled the expectations we had of the cross. Alexis started
her performance show career in 2003. We are very happy with how well
she did. She also took part in her first parade complete with costume.
It was requested that she be ridden in the 2003 WLMS Opening Ceremony in her
costume. She was asked back for the 2004 WMLS Opening Ceremony.
This time, we carried a flag as well! Please check out her page of additional photos.
Alexis gave us a solid chestnut colt sired by
Motif Hill Marquisee on Memorial Day 2005. This colt is offered
FOR SALE.

Windrise T-N-T Legacy
Solid Bay
6/02/2003
While "Legacy" is not a "colorful" filly, she
is a stunning individual. A brilliant bay who moves like a dream she
just grabs your attention and holds it. She is very well built all the
way around and has a pretty face too. We've been asked why T-N-T,
its for Tana & Taylor her parents. She is their Legacy. We are
positive that she will live up to her name.

Windrise Lady Vivien
Black filly with tiny star & tiny snip.
5/4/2005
1/2 Lippitt/Foundation
Vivien has been sold to Tori Wilfred, Draconia Keep.
Tori fell in love with Vivien's full brother, Renaissance, when she visited
our farm years ago. When she found out that a full sibling was on the
way, she spoke up for a filly. She was double blessed when Viv
arrived. Not only did she get her filly, but she got a black filly!
Congrats to Tori!
